Project: Sodium Chloride Crystallizer System

Location: Texas

Project Scope: INGENII’s engineers performed all structural engineering for the design of steel framing and foundations for this 25,000 square foot by 90 foot tall process facility.   Structural scope of services also included: the design of an eight column support structure for a 100 foot tall, 2,000,000 pound crystallizer vapor body; dynamic analysis for four elevated centrifuges, design of a 270 foot long elevated pipe rack, and foundation design for 60 foot and 40 foot diameter steel tanks. All structures were designed to withstand 120 mph hurricane force winds and dynamic operating forces equal to 20% of the weight of the process equipment. All column foundations were supported by 14” diameter auger cast piles. Tank foundations were preloaded to minimize long term differential settlement.
