Project: Four-Effect Concentrator / Pre-Evaporator Train

Project Scope: INGENII’s engineers performed all structural engineering, including design of connections, for the design of steel framing for this Four-Effect Concentrator / Pre-Evaporator Train for an expansion of an existing Weyerhaeuser paper mill. The 1300 square foot by 40 foot tall process tower supported two 200,000 pound crystallizer vapor bodies, and two vertical heaters. The structural scope of services also included the design of independent supports for two evaporators and a vertical surface condenser. All of the freestanding equipment was interconnected to the process tower at two levels via elevated access platforms that doubled as pipe racks.
